Wilton-Tradesman-Vise Wilton Tradesman Vise

The Tradesman vise is a solid and very good quality vise for the price.  It's pipe clamp jaws below the working clamp jaws make it taller than the Machinist vise.   It also sacrifices some distance in the max opening in the same jaw width to both the Machinist and Combination vises, and is not quite as beefy around the anvil area.  The newer Tradesman has powdered metal jaws and not the hardened steel jaws of the Machinist and Combination.

An interesting characteristic of the Tradesman is the interchangeable inserts that Wilton created.  The older Tradesman had an indented cavity cast  for labels that private brand customers could use to insert their logo.  The cavity was more cost effective than pouring separate castings for each customer.  You can find the emblem in various places on the sides of the Tradesman.

The emblem posted in the photo ON THE RIGHT is one of the earlier versions.

Do you make A-2Jaws for Wilton Tradsman vises?

Yes Gary I do, look here. http://www.wiltonviseparts.net/ Wilton used standard dimensions on just about 95% of their vises. Either 4″ x 3/4, 1 inch or 1-1/4 inch tall with 2-3/8 Centered bolt holes. Thanks for asking.
